When internal LEDs throw light forward, this curved crystal geometry acts as an optical prism, bending and refracting the rays outward. This amplifies the color saturation, removes all visible LED node hot-spots, and gives the letters a unique, liquid-neon depth that shifts dynamically as customers walk past.

This is an intentional design feature called Contrasting Side Returns. Because the front face is incredibly bright and highly reflective, leaving the sides fully transparent would allow light to scatter uncontrollably, muddying the letter outlines and hurting legibility.
